According to the Japan Mainichi Shimbun, a fire broke out at the Ibisden Aoyagi Plant in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan at around 11:40 pm on December 22. Six steel assembly houses and one steel structure warehouse were caught on fire. Affected, a medium truck was burnt down.
According to reports, at the time of the fire, 83 people were working in other buildings in the area, but no casualties occurred. The Ogaki Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
IBIDEN stated that the assembly room was an office used by construction workers and there was no one at the time of the fire. Melamine packaging boards are stored in the warehouse.
According to IBIDEN, the Aoyagi factory covers an area of about 99,000 square meters and mainly produces packaging boards and electronic components for mobile phones. It is reported that the fire did not cause damage to the production line.
